While serious business is a part of the National Convention, it is also a time to greet old friends and meet new ones – and take some time for fun and relaxation in a beautiful city with lots to see and do.
You will feel right at home in an area with the largest military retiree population in the country.

San Antonio’s famous Riverwalk is just one of the many attractions you will find in this vibrant city. The Alamo and Market Square are just minutes from our Convention Hotel. All downtown attractions are easily accessible by foot or on San Antonio’s unique river taxis.

Nestled on the banks of the San Antonio Riverwalk, the El Tropicano is a full service hotel featuring a state of the art fitness facility, pool, sundeck, a “dive in movie screen” and a lounge that overlooks the tranquil San Antonio River. Eat in at the hotel’s fine restaurant or saunter down the Riverwalk and find a multitude of restaurants and shops along your leisurely stroll.

Identify yourself as an American Military Retirees Association (AMRA) member

and ask for the convention rate of $103.00 + 16.75% tax (single/double).

DEADLINE FOR RESERVATIONS IS MAY 6, 2013

Room rates: Singles & Doubles - $103.00 + 16.75% Tax. $10.00 per adult for over 2 adults per room. Parking: $9.00 + 8.125% tax/night for hotel guests.

Rates are valid two (2) days before the Convention and two (2) after the Convention if you wish to enjoy additional time in the San Antonio area.

Hotel check- in time is 4:00 p.m. – check-out time is 12:00 Noon.

Hotel Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to expected arrival will be billed for one (1) night’s room and tax.
