The American Military Retirees Association (AMRA) is committed to protection of the privacy of our members and all others who may use our website.

Information Collection
AMRA does not collect information on visitors to its website. Information provided by AMRA members is used solely for the purpose for which it is submitted (membership database record, purchase of AMRA merchandise, entry into the AMRA scholarship program, subscriptions to electronic newsletters or print publications, etc.). AMRA does not sell or rent its membership lists.

From time to time AMRA may provide the physical addresses of its members to business partners for specific one-time mailing use. Members have the option to have their membership records tagged “Do Not Solicit” if they do not wish to receive special offers by mail from our business partners.

AMRA often provides links from our website to other websites over which we have no control. We encourage members to review the privacy policies of other websites they choose to link to from our site. All financial transactions made on our site are handled through PayPal; AMRA does not have access to credit card numbers for these transactions.

AMRA uses Google Analytics to analyze visits to the website; this method of data collection is statistical in nature and does not identify the names or contact information of users.

AMRA does not sell or rent the email addresses of its members. Members who provide AMRA with an email address will automatically receive the weekly electronic newsletter eNews and Special Legislative Updates. An updated list of member email addresses is provided weekly to the company launching the weekly electronic newsletter (eNews); the company is contractually bound to use the addresses solely for the purpose of transmitting the weekly newsletter and may not share the list with any other party. AMRA members always have the option to “unsubscribe” from the newsletter by following instructions at the bottom of the newsletter. Members may also call National Headquarters to have their email addresses removed from our database, if they so desire; however, such action will result in no email communication from AMRA and could subject the member to the loss of valuable information communicated to members via email.
